Real Brides: Mandi
I met my husband almost 6 years ago when I walked into the gym where he worked as a personal trainer to apply for a job after I had just moved back home from living in Chicago. His first attempt at flirtation was to tell the manager not to hire me right in the middle of my interview. I took no offense because I knew what he was attempting to do, and I thought to myself "This guy is going to be my new best friend." I was more right than I could have ever imagined! Two months later we were officially dating, and this month I married the love of my life.
My dress was an absolute dream come true! It was my first time trying on wedding gowns, and I was almost ready to give up for the day. I had tried on about 5 or 6 dresses and each one looked worse than the one before. The saleswoman brought in one last dress which was nothing like what I had said I was looking for. I put it on and instantaneously knew this was the one I had been waiting for! The dress fit like a glove, was so beautiful and unique, and the lace was like stunning artwork. My mom asked me if I felt like a princess in this dress and I knew without a second of hesitation that I did. Cue immediate tears!! I fell in love with my dress almost as hard as I fell in love with my husband.
