Real Brides: Rachel

Like most modern couples, our story began with a dating app, a quirky bio, and a swipe to the right. We actually matched a little over two years ago to the day! I had just moved to Champaign, Illinois to start my master's degree at the University of Illinois. Somehow, I talked myself into creating an online dating profile since I didn't have any friends yet in the area. And since Gavin has lived here his entire life, it was only a matter of time before our paths crossed. I had gone dress shopping at two other salons before visiting Silk Bridal Easton, and I was starting to think that I wouldn't find "the one." But with the help from an amazing consultant, we found my dream dress! I was a little particular about what kind of dress I wanted, and my consultant took all the elements I was looking for and pulled out the Simply Val Stefani dress. The moment I put it on, I knew it was everything I wanted in a wedding dress! It was light, soft, and very romantic.
