Real Brides: Courtney

One of my best friends from high school invited me to a young adults game night with her church, and I met Gabe there. We were on the same team, and he talked to me almost the entire night. I never thought I’d see him again, but, a couple weeks later, my friend asked him what he thought about me. Gabe replied by saying that he thought I was cool, and he liked my curly hair. A group date was arranged shortly after, and Gabe and I have talked everyday since! We dated for three years and got married on June 20, 2020! 

I had a list of details that I wanted my wedding dress to have. I visited at least four places and tried on at least forty dresses. I found several I liked, but none of them had all of the details I wanted. I didn’t want to settle, but I was getting overwhelmed with all of my options. I visited The Dress with my parents and brother before I attended a friend’s wedding. It was kind of a last minute decision. My mom found my dress, and we instantly fell in love. As soon as I put it on, we knew. It was the one. It had everything I wanted – dainty boho lace, fitted silhouette, spaghetti straps, low back, long train, the perfect amount of beading! And it was my size! I was beyond happy and relieved, and I was so thankful my whole family was there when I found it! My husband loved it on our wedding day and thought it perfectly reflected me and my style. I will forever be in love with my wedding dress!
