Real Brides: Liset

I met my husband in 2015 during my senior semester of my undergrad through a mutual friend and we became best friends. Then I graduated the following year and moved to Utah and I always joke that he followed me here because he ended up moving here too. And Taylor always jokes that it was all part of his master plan all along. So we started dating in 2017- our friendship over time just grew into an immense love for one another. Taylor is from California and I am from Florida, opposite coasts,  so it was important for us to stay close to each other because we wanted to be together in the long run. He proposed in the summer of 2019 and we were officially married on April 17th, 2020. We ended up eloping because of the pandemic. Our whole wedding was planned for that date but it just didn't work out. So we ended up moving our wedding date to August 1st. I really wanted to have that moment when he first saw me in the dress to be special. And it really was.

As for the dress, I had seen it literally a week after Taylor proposed on the social account for Mary's Bridal Shop and knew it was the dress for me. I set up an appointment to try it on the next day and FELL IN LOVE. It was the first and only dress I tried on and I just knew that it was meant for me. I felt so romantic and regal in that gown. It was everything I wanted and I would give anything to wear it again.
