Real Brides: Haley

Josh and I met at a mutual friend's house just before our senior year of college while attending San Diego State University (go Aztecs!). I had known his sister already as she was a couple grades above us and had been in my same sorority. We ended up hitting it off and talking for hours all the way into the morning. I remember thinking how genuine he came off and how good his heart was. He was different from anyone I had ever met before in all the best ways. To this day, he's the most thoughtful, genuine, and caring man I know. Shortly after that night, he asked me to go out on a date with him to Duke's in La Jolla. We dated for 4 years before he proposed to me on the shores of the Montage in Laguna Beach. The rest is simply history!
Unlike most brides, I never had a Pinterest board for my wedding growing up. I never thought about the color scheme or the destination or even the general vibe of my wedding before getting engaged. But I did always have a vision for my wedding dress. Growing up, I always pictured myself in a lace, strapless or off-the-shoulder, fitted dress with a very long train. I tried on other dresses that checked certain boxes of mine, but when I tried on this Val Stefani dress, I fell in love with the train, all the details, and how it truly made me feel like a bride in a way that I envisioned for many years.
