Real Brides: Allison
My husband and I have actually known each other for a long time, he is my best friend's twin brother. We saw each other on and off throughout the years and both were interested in each other, but the timing was never right. We finally went on our first date in 2020, a week after my best friend's (his sister's) wedding. We got ice cream and walked around chatting for hours! We didn't know it at the time, but that date was the beautiful start to our forever love story.
Fast forward to 2022 when Travis proposed. A few months after getting engaged, I went to Casa Bianca Bridal Boutique to try on wedding gowns for the first time. I have always struggled finding formalwear that I feel comfortable and confident in, so I was pretty nervous. One of the very first gowns I tried on was a beautiful A-line dress. I mostly loved it, other than the fact that it was a strapless gown. I tried on a few more gowns before putting on a fitted dress with amazing lace detail. When I mentioned to my bridal consultant that I loved the lace and the fit of the top part of the dress but wish it wasn't so fitted she mentioned that they frequently worked with Val Stefani to create custom dresses. We ended up holding the A-line dress on top of the fitted gown and I could immediately see the vision of what my dream gown would look like. I got a photo of the dress from the designer a few months later and had tears in my eyes, it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! I got to try on my custom dress at Casa Bianca for the first time a few weeks after getting the photos and it was everything I could have ever dreamed of!
