Real Brides: Michiyo

My husband and I met at a small party about three years ago. We both lived alone in Tokyo, where I worked as a lighting designer and he worked in education. When I first met my future husband, I thought he seemed very warm-hearted. Although we had completely different jobs, we became close because we shared an interest in drinking and eating, and our first date was a week after the party. After dating for about a year, we got married. A year after we got married, we held our wedding ceremony at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo, one of the most prestigious hotels in Japan.

The moment I saw "Carmen," which had just arrived, I fell in love with the beauty of the lace, embroidery, and beads, and I wanted to wear it! Having had breast cancer surgery at 33 years old, my left and right breasts are different sizes. The dress required a high level of skill to repair, but thanks to my skilled tailor, it was beautifully altered.
