Real Brides: Dana

February 26, 2011 was a day I’ll never forget. I was on a girls snowboarding trip in Big Bear and we woke up to almost 2 feet of snow due to a storm the night before. I met my (now) husband, Jason, in the lodge at Bear Mountain that day. I was definitely not looking for love… but it was destiny. We are firm believers that "...everything happens for a reason." The first dress I tried on at Mon Amie Bridal was designed by Val Stefani. As soon as I had it on, I started to cry. I knew it was “the one”. In that moment it hit me that I was getting married and the dress made me truly feel like a bride. It was as if the dress was made specifically for me. Despite how emotionally moved I was in that dress I wanted to try on a few more to be sure. Then we came back to the first dress… I put it back on and cried again. That was it. It was “love at first dress”. I had the pleasure of meeting the designers that day, Valerie & Stephanie. Meeting them made it that much more special because I could see their sisterly bond that I also share with my 3 sisters.
