Real Brides: Jessica

I met Andrew at Trent University during the summer of my second year. We were both in an advanced calculus class. According to Andrew I completely ignored him for the first month of the course. I'm quite shy. During our one exam week I noticed he wasn't there, so I decided to message him on msn messenger. (The whole class had exchanged emails for contact info). One concussion, bike accident (on Andrews part) and really awkward first date lead to a second. The rest is history. Andrew and I have been together for 8 years. As for finding Isla, well that's magical too. After about 6 months of dress searching online on Pinterest, and Google I ended up on the knot website. I clicked on a random video and that's when I saw her. There was Isla being twirled in a slow motion video. At that moment I knew she was the one. From that I saw that Val Stefani was the designer duo. I tried to see if my local bridal boutique had her. I ended up calling your head offices in California (from Peterborough Ontario Canada) to see which boutiques had her. Turns out only 3 in all of Ontario did. From there I called each individual boutique. On the last try I found her in Ottawa....a 3 hour drive from Peterborough. So 2 days after the phone call I gathered my mother in law to be, mother and we drove the 3 hours to try her on. When we arrived at Baroness Bridal in Ottawa, Ontario the owner had brought Isla to the fitting room. I tried her on, and she was everything and more than I wanted in my wedding dress. It was literally love at first sight. She was the first and only wedding dress that I tried on. The photos on my wedding day were captured by photographer extraordinaire Jennifer Moher of Jennifer Moher Photography. Everything turned out beyond perfectly.
