Real Brides: Alex

My husband and I met briefly in junior high and I remember hanging out only once or twice back then. With him being a year older than me, we lost contact when he went off to high school. We were reintroduced by a mutual friend only two years later and have been best friends and inseparable ever since! We've been dating since 2009, got engaged in 2015 and then finally tied the knot in 2017. We both feel so lucky to have married our high school sweetheart. After trying on several different beautiful gowns, I knew my wedding dress was the one because it was the only one that made me feel emotional when I saw myself in it. The moment I saw myself in the mirror I had an overwhelming feeling of happiness. My mom cried and my mother-in-law was at a loss for words. I had one more appointment at a different bridal shop the next day and the entire time I was there I found myself comparing all the dresses to my dress.
